Start at the Nordhorn zoo to the South-North Canal. On the way, take a first break at the ice cream kiosk "Dat Schleusenhus", at the Hotel Heilemann or in the Stiftscafé in Wietmarschen. The village offers plenty of places to stop and shop, such as the "Hofl aden Heilemann". The route continues along the North-South Canal, past the historic lock and the "Kleiner Hofladen" farm store to the Osterwald Farm Museum and the nearby Petroleum Museum. The route continues to the mill park in Veldhausen. Cross the Vechte and take a break at the "Hofcafé Strötker". Cycle on to the border adventure station "Klettergarten" via the border pad to Frenswegen Monastery with its monastery café. Experience various art trail stations along the Vechte until you reach Nordhorn city centre.
