This 55 km long circular route passes by numerous of these settlement mounds. But that should not be the only highlight. Along the way along the North Sea coast and the Weser estuary, the route passes through charming villages such as Wremen, Cappel, or Neuenwalde.
The black-and-white lighthouse "Kleiner Preuße" in Wremen offers a wonderful distant view, and the colourful fishing cutters in the town's cutter harbour and the salty sea air provide a real North Sea feeling.
Also on the route is the only still preserved monastery in the Elbe-Weser triangle, the Neuenwalde Monastery. Visits can be arranged on request. Alternatively, the monastery garden invites you to stroll and linger.
For a little refreshment on the way, a stop at the Sievern Lake is recommended.
