In terms of industrial history, the mustard factory in the old boiler and engine house boasts northern Germany's largest operational stationary steam engine.

The Leman Mustard Factory Industrial Monument Interest Group looks after the preservation and demonstration of the steam engine built in 1911 and offers visitors a wealth of information on the history of the mustard factory over coffee and cake in the steam café.
