The special features of the moorland landscape in the municipality of Sassenburg are shown on a ride on the narrow-gauge railroad. The tour takes you into the Great Moor at a leisurely six kilometers per hour in covered carriages specially designed for passenger transport. You can see where peat is extracted and how flora and fauna have adapted to the given conditions. There are two exits on the circular route, a boardwalk and a viewing platform.
In principle, only group tours of ten or more people are undertaken. Individuals or smaller groups have the option of joining a larger group.
