Melkhuske in Schatteburg
This charming café invites you to linger. Lots of greenery, lots of peace and quiet, lots of fresh air. The Schatteburger Melkhuske is surrounded by apple trees and lush meadows. Thanks to its location right on the “Deutsche Fehnroute,” the Melkhuske is a great place for cyclists to stop for a break.
The Schatteburg Melkhuske is open from May 1 through October 3. We offer milk drinks, coffee and tea, ice cream, and cold beverages (apple juice, water, organic lemonades, and much more...) along with a variety of homemade seasonal cakes. We do not serve alcohol, and please do not bring your own or consume it on our premises. Of course, you’re welcome to bring snacks or your child’s favorite drink. Please understand that the “grown-ups” are expected to order something, as this is how we keep the Melkhuske running. Thank you!
Open: May 1 – October 3 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every second and 4th. Sunday of the month!&Additionally on May 1, Ascension Day, Pentecost Sunday, and October 3—the end-of-season celebration with a perennial exchange and craft market
