Our sport and climatic health resort Braunlage has a very beautiful Kurpark.
This is located in the east of the city and it is a spacious landscaped garden and park.

As early as 1908 and 1909, the Kurpark Pond was created as a gondola pond. In the summer months, spa guests could row boats on it, and in winter, ice skating and ice hockey were played on the frozen water.

The actual Kurpark was created in the years 1928 to 1931.

In 1950, a Wandelhalle was built on the west side of the park. This was replaced in 1976 by the current, more modern and larger Kurgastzentrum. There is also a concert hall for about 1000 people.

Even today, the Kurpark is inviting with its well-kept appearance and there is also a lot for children to discover. There are some fitness machines for physical activation and a 2020 modernized Kneipp pedal pool for deceleration available free of charge. For the little ones it is always a highlight to feed the local ducks and fish.
