The Herrenhausen Gardens are among the most important and best-preserved Baroque gardens in Europe - a remarkable example of European garden art.
The Great Garden is considered the heart of the Herrenhausen Gardens and is one of the most important baroque gardens in Europe. The basic structure of the 50.2 hectare garden area is virtually unchanged today. In addition to the impressive garden art, the various sculptures that are illuminated for individual events as well as the large fountain with its 70 meter high water column are also impressive.

Consisting of individual gardens, the Great Garden is a popular destination not only for tourists. The Herrenhausen open-air theater also becomes a venue here in the summer
