The Freizeitheim Scheppau is the youth leisure and educational center of the district of Helmstedt. Almost 70 years ago, this family education, leisure and meeting facility developed out of a family history. The institution is run by the district of Helmstedt under the personnel and planning authority of the Helmstedt district adult education center.

The youth leisure and education center is open to all children, young people, adults, parents, families, people living alone and people of all ages.

Children and young people in particular should be supported in their individual development through targeted offers that make it easier for them to grow into society. Custodians are offered adequate support in the performance of their educational duties.

We offer leisure and educational courses, individual consultations, parent-child groups, weekend events, open interest groups, family parties, exhibitions, lectures, games and craft afternoons, vacation programs, youth camps and youth leader qualification courses and much more.

You can be creative in this house, get inspiration, try out new things, do something together, talk to each other, make contacts, exchange experiences, get support, do something for yourself and your health...

...or simply have fun and enjoy yourself.
