The MEYER WERFT shipyard offers a "floating classroom" as a certified extracurricular place of learning. In the shipyard's visitor center, pupils can become "up-and-coming shipbuilders" through practical and entertaining teaching units. There are educational programs for grades 1 to 5 in the subjects of physics, geography and history that provide insights into modern technology.
