Bad Rothenfelde has had a tradition of spa treatments since the 19th century. Contemporary witnesses such as the Kurmittelhaus, the concert shell, the old and the new graduation house characterise the spa park in the centre of the town. Numerous buildings of typical spa architecture and the modern architecture of the carpesol SPA Therme, the seven specialised clinics, the beautiful shopping streets with original shops and inviting restaurants form a successful mix.
For centuries, the two graduation towers, where the spring brine trickles down from the depths of the Kleiner Berg, have provided fresh breathing air all year round. It is particularly intense in the inhalation room of the new graduation house.
Salt is omnipresent. For example, as an additive in the medicinal baths, during aqua aerobics, in the outdoor brine pool and in the carpesol SPA Therme. Several themed gardens line the spa gardens. The Lindenallee nature garden, the new Bible garden with an interpretation worth seeing and the magnificent Rudi Wernermann rose garden through to the historic concert garden are all attractions.
