The Amt Neuhaus Ark Centre in Konau is the best starting point for exploring the Lower Saxony Elbe Valley Biosphere Reserve and the Elbe River Landscape Ark Region. It also serves as an ideal stopover, regardless of the weather. The centre provides information about the Lower Saxony Elbe Valley Biosphere Reserve and offers an exhibition on historical backgrounds, rare domestic animal breeds and the nature of the region. Free guided tours are offered regularly and can be requested for groups. The Neuhaus Junior Ranger Group's excursions into the countryside start from here.

It is best to cycle along the Elbe cycle path to Konau or follow the signposted route "Biosphärenquerung" from Neuhaus.
Walking from the Darchau ferry on the dyke to Konau is also a nice way.

From Lüneburg via Neu-Darchau on the ferry and from there follow the signs.
from Lüchow-Dannenberg via the Dömitzer Elbbrücke (B191, B195) to Neuhaus and from there towards Darchau and follow the signs. or via Neu-Darchau by ferry and from there follow the signs.
