Our family-run hotel is located in the small village of Stemmen.
Amid the fields, meadows, and forests of the Wümme River valley and surrounded by the vast, tranquil moors of Tister, Ekel, and Steinbecker Moor, you can relax, bike, and hike in peace here. And if that’s too quiet for you, Bremen, Hamburg, and Lüneburg are all just an hour away by car or train (the nearest train station is about 5 km away).
The rooms at our hotel are as diverse as our guests!
We offer allergy-friendly rooms without carpet or down bedding, rooms with XXL beds up to 2.10 m long, and comfort rooms with box-spring beds. Upon prior request, you can also receive a bed with a soft mattress topper.
When designing our rooms, we paid close attention to creating a soothing combination of colors and fabrics. We offer solutions for both business travelers and families with children. For example, all hotel rooms are equipped with a desk, telephone, and free Wi-Fi. For families, we offer family rooms with a separate bedroom or a pull-out couch for the children.
Please let us know in advance if you’re bringing your four-legged friend! We have special rooms where dogs are allowed. We charge an extra fee per pet.

How about a meal at our Schultens restaurant, for example? Senior chef Luise Trau personally prepares the dishes here, lovingly combining her grandmother’s recipes with modern cuisine. - Our hotel is located in the eastern "corner" of the Rotenburg (Wümme) district, in the Fintel collective municipality, and in the immediate vicinity of Federal Highway 75 and the town of Lauenbrück.
Directions by car:
Coming from Bremen, take the A 1 (Stuckenborstel exit) and the B 75 toward Rotenburg (Wümme) and Scheeßel. Follow the B 75 and turn left toward Stemmen just past Lauenbrück.
Coming from Hamburg, take the A-1 (Hollenstedt/Tostedt exit) and follow the signs to Tostedt. From there, follow the B-75 toward Scheeßel. Just before Lauenbrück, turn right into the town of Stemmen. the
Coming from Hanover, take the A 7 (Dorfmark exit), follow the B 440 toward Visselhövede, and then the B 71 toward Neuenkirchen. From there, continue toward Hemslingen and Scheeßel. In Scheeßel, follow the B 75 toward Tostedt. The “metronom” train service takes you from Hamburg and Bremen to the stations in Tostedt, Lauenbrück, and Scheeßel. From there, some bus routes run to areas near Stemmen or directly into the town.
