Meppen Youth Hostel is one of the most modern youth hostels in Germany and, with its spacious rooms and excellent media equipment, is perfect for conferences and seminars - not least because of the exciting supporting program: In our youth hostel, conference groups can also be inspired by creative workshops!

Intensive exchange needs a contemporary, experience-oriented framework. Our culture|youth hostel is the perfect environment for educational programs as well as conferences and seminars. In addition to our hostel, the Meppen art school and the exhibition center for the archaeology of the Emsland belong to the Koppelschleuse Meppen cultural network. As a place of intercultural encounters, we offer you a varied program: art and theater, archaeology and history are on our schedule. On request, we can organize workshops, excursions, conferences and seminars for you.

Our youth hostel is nestled in a beautiful park landscape. It is not far to the center of the old fortified town of Meppen, which is characterized by the avenue-lined city wall and the watercourses of the Ems and Hase. Experience art and history from yesterday to tomorrow - on the grounds of our cultural network, on a stroll through Meppen and on extensive tours through the unique natural and cultural landscape of the Emsland. The Netherlands, such as Bourtange Fortress, is not far away either!

Family vacations - creative, sporty and always relaxed!

Bring out your family's creative potential together at our culture|youth hostel! Explore the pretty little town of Meppen and then relax in the shade of old trees - in the enchanting parkland surrounding our Meppen youth hostel with its barefoot path, Kneipp facility and café. Or take a sporty approach to your vacation: enjoy the diversity of the green Emsland, for example on a canoe tour on the Ems or the Hase and on a bike tour. Here you will find peace and quiet to unwind, enjoy nature and discover lots of interesting things! And there is also plenty of space to play and run around.

Class trips: on a journey of discovery between culture and nature

Your pupils can give free rein to their creative powers around the Koppelschleuse Meppen cultural network: pottery and restoration in the archaeology museum, designing underwater worlds or "peat art" in the art school. From historical time travel to theater and contemporary youth culture, we offer many exciting cultural experiences in a creative, educational way. You can even do circus yourself: in a real circus tent right on our beautiful grounds. Try something new with your class! With lots of ideas, we will sharpen your students' eyes and senses for aesthetics and history - and strengthen your class's team spirit during a stay at Meppen Youth Hostel!

Meeting and making music in inspiring surroundings

We offer you the right rooms for your conference or seminar! Our five conference rooms, ranging from 15 to 152 m2, are flooded with natural light, are located on the first floor and can be arranged variably using partition walls. All five conference rooms are also suitable as rehearsal rooms, so that we can also offer excellent conditions for music groups. In addition, we have a 180 m2 theater room with a music system in the basement and two sheds in the art school building. All of the meeting rooms, the theater room and the coach houses are suitable for full rehearsals, while additional rooms are available for rehearsals in register.
