Camping am Deich
The campground is a slice of “typical East Frisia”: A peaceful idyll sheltered by the dike, relaxing open spaces thanks to the Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park (UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site), and culture and entertainment thanks to its proximity to the fishing village of Greetsiel and the seaport city of Emden. Right next to the campground is the “Trockenstrand”—a beach landscape behind the dike. Sports and water sports opportunities are right nearby, along with an extensive network of trails for cyclists and hikers. Boat trips to the North Sea island of Borkum and to the Netherlands, mudflat hikes, lighthouse tours, or a stroll through Emden—with its art museum, harbor tour, and state museum—round out your vacation.
