Our restaurant is a welcoming spot for everyone. It’s the perfect place to meet up with friends for a regulars’ table, to take a cozy break after a hike or outing, or simply to enjoy a beer after work. We offer a variety of draft beers to pair with our delicious meals. In October, for example, we serve the original Oktoberfest beer. In the summer, you can also take a seat in our small beer garden behind the house.
In addition to the restaurant, our establishment features two spacious club rooms and a banquet hall, which we set up to suit any occasion. Celebrate your wedding, confirmation, or birthday with us. Enjoy our large buffets at Christmas or Easter, or simply bring your group to one of our popular cabbage-harvest tours or the original Tarmstedt Schlager party. There’s always something going on here! We’d also be happy to provide our catering service at your home.
Feel free to combine a visit to our inn with an activity or an excursion into the surrounding area, with its vast forests, meadows, and moors, river valleys, and farm fields. Nestled within this diverse natural and cultural landscape are idyllic villages, windmills and watermills, as well as stone tombs and burial mounds.Did you know that there are great hiking trails right on our doorstep?
- Right across from us, directly at the town hall, the NORDPFAD Tarmstedter Moor (19.5 km) begins. It is one of 24 circular hiking trails in the district of Rotenburg (Wümme), all of which are well-signposted and offer a wonderful experience in every season.
- Two additional NORDPFAD trails are just a few minutes’ drive from us. The NORDPFAD Timker Wäler (starting at the church in Kirchtimke) and the NORDPFAD Zevener Geest (starting at the Großes Holz parking lot).
At the end of the day, we also offer overnight accommodations in our simple but cozy single and double rooms.

- The Tarmstedter Hof is located opposite the town hall, right in the center of town.
By car:
You can reach the administrative town of Tarmstedt from Bremen or Hanover via the A 27 (Langwedel exit). Follow the signs towards Zeven on the L133 until you reach Tarmstedt. Coming from Hamburg, take the A 1 (exit Elsdorf) and follow the signs to Zeven. From Zeven take the L133 in the direction of Bremen until you reach Tarmstedt.
By public transportation:
There are numerous bus connections from Bremen, Tostedt, Bremervörde and Rotenburg (Wümme) to the Tarmstedt bus station. However, these do not offer the option of taking a bike with you! You can find more information here: www.vbn.de More information
