Welcome to our farm!
Our Melkhus is located directly on our individual farm on the outskirts of Scheeßel and on the NORDPFAD "Kirchsteg-Moore-Bäche". We are passionate farmers and keep sows and piglets. Free-range chickens, goats and our farm dog Lotte are also part of our farm. In the small dairy restaurant, the so-called "Melkhus", you can enjoy dairy specialties such as milkshakes, quark, yoghurt and cakes. We also offer our guests refreshing ice cream straight from the "ice cream counter" - almost like at an Italian restaurant.
Enjoy our dairy delicacies in our garden. There are plenty of shady and sunny places to linger. While the "little ones" explore the farm, the adults have enough time for a "Klönschnack" (North German term for a conversation), because with us children always find something that captivates them for a long time. Very popular are the pedal tractors and trailers that you can drive around the farm and the large straw castle on the lawn, which we set up every year for the milking season.
Right next to the milking house we run a small farm store. There you will find many fresh, healthy and self-produced products from the region around Scheeßel, such as vegetables and fruit, cheese, spices, oils, liqueurs, juices, honey and baked goods as well as various gift ideas. We produce many products directly on our farm, such as Klötenköm egg liqueur, various fruit spreads, herbal salts and herbal teas, soups and sauces. Our range also includes meat and sausage specialties from our own pig farm and eggs from our free-range chickens. A special feature is certainly our ten different types of pasta, all of which we make ourselves, such as the spelt and pumpkin pasta, which was named "Culinary Ambassador of Lower Saxony" in 2019.
We are happy to explain to groups of children and adults how this farm life works, what makes our daily work so special and why we love our work on a guided tour of the farm, which can be booked in advance of a visit. We also allow our guests, young and old, to take a look inside our sow barn at any time. Through a glass door, you can see how our piglets grow up in the first period after birth. We are also happy to host your birthday party or offer you a delicious wild herb breakfast if you book in advance.

The Melkhüs in Lower Saxony, including those in the district of Rotenburg (Wümme), are only open in the summer season. We take a winter break from the beginning of October to the end of April.

In unserer Milchraststätte bekommen Sie Speisen rund um die Milch, frisch vom Land - von einem Glas Milch, leckeren Milchshakes und Quarkspeisen, selbstgebackenen Kuchen bis hin zu Milchkaffee. Probiert z. B. unser erfrischendes Bauernhofeis.

Our farm is located south of Scheeßel.
Arrival by car:
Coming from Bremen, take the A 1 (exit Stuckenborstel) and the B 75 via Rotenburg (Wümme) to Scheeßel. Coming from Hamburg, take the A1 (Sittensen exit) and the L 130 via Hamersen and Helvesiek to Scheeßel.
In Scheeßel, take the traffic circle in the direction of the train station. Follow Bahnhofsstraße and turn right into Küsterkampweg. Follow the Melkhus signs and turn right into Ruhlohkampweg. This leads directly to Finteler Weg and our farm.

Scheeßel is very easy to reach by train. The train company "metronom" offers a direct connection between Hamburg and Bremen with the "metronom regio", on which bicycles can also be taken along. You can find more information about the train connections at www.bahn.de
From the station in Scheeßel, take the rear exit, which does not lead into the town center. Follow the street Hinter der Bahn and Ruhlohkampweg, which leads directly to Finteler Weg. It is about 20 minutes on foot to our farm.
