We also cater for our younger guests! Your children can really let off steam in the playground. The large swing, seesaw, slide and sandpit will keep them from getting bored while mom and dad enjoy our good coffee.
Our "Sauhütte" is also available for celebrations and festivities (minimum 10 people, maximum 40 people). Spoil yourself and your guests with our delicious, home-style cooking, e.g. with a hearty kale meal. Or try our cold buffet. You will find a varied selection in our menu (also online). Our "Sauhütte" and the terrace offer space for about 40 people each.
In addition, we organize Kremser pleasure rides for young and old in the surrounding area of Hipstedt. Ideal for clubs, companies and societies of all kinds. Whether round trips, day trips or a "twilight cruise", fun for a maximum of 24 people is guaranteed! Ask us about available dates and our special offers!

Our "Sauhütte" is located in the village of Hipstedt in the joint municipality of Geestequelle and is in the immediate vicinity of the NORDPFAD Hölzerbruch-Malse and on the route of the "Geest-Route" cycle tour.
Arrival by car:
The joint municipality of Geestequelle lies to the northwest in the district of Rotenburg (Wümme). From Bremerhaven, take the A 27 towards Bremen (exit Beverstedt) and then the B 71 towards Bremervörde. In Barchel, follow the country road in the direction of Hipstedt.
From Hamburg, follow the A 26 and B 73 towards Stade or the A 1 towards Bremen (exit Bockel) and then the B 71 towards Zeven and Bremervörde. In Bremervörde, follow the B 71 towards Bremerhaven. In Barchel, follow the country road in the direction of Hipstedt.
From Bremen and Hanover, you can reach Oerel via the A 27 towards Bremerhaven (exit Ritterhude) and the B 74 (via Osterholz-Scharmbeck, Hambergen, Basdahl and Oerel). In Barchel, follow the country road in the direction of Hipstedt.
Arrival by public transportation:
From Cuxhaven and Bremerhaven, take the Elbe-Weser-Bahn (EVB) to Heinschenwalde station, which is 2.5 km from the Sauhütte.
From Hamburg, take the S-Bahn (S 5) from Hamburg main station to Buxtehude. There you change to the EVB in the direction of Bremerhaven and get off in Heinschenwalde. You can find more information about the train connections at www.bahn.de.

Our hiker-friendly Hofcafé is located around 400 meters from the NORDPFAD Hölzerbruch-Malse (length approx. 14 km). Combine your visit with a circular walk and enjoy the wide and varied landscape around Hipstedt.
If you would like to stay longer, you are welcome to spend the night in one of our cozy vacation apartments!
