Once hailed as the finest beer in the medieval world, even Martin Luther was a fan, declaring ‘The best drink known to humankind is Einbeck beer.’ To this day, the original recipe lives on in Urbock beer. With over 700 breweries shaping its history, Einbeck’s brewing tradition is a cornerstone of this half-timbered town’s identity.
