Zugvogeltage: Vogelzug für Aufsteiger*innen

Experience bird migration up close. The diverse habitats around the Pilsum Lighthouse offer countless migratory birds ideal conditions for resting and feeding. Equipped with binoculars and a spotting scope, we’ll spot migratory birds in the foreshore, the mudflats, and the adjacent Leyhörn Nature Reserve. Learn more about the phenomenon of bird migration, the challenges of climate change, and the unique characteristics of individual bird species. At the end of the tour, in the birdwatching hut over tea and cookies, we’ll use the species we’ve observed to perhaps even complete the Migratory Bird Days species list for the Aviathlon.
 
For adults and children ages 8 and up with an interest in ornithology.

Accessibility Information: The route is approximately 2 km long and is adapted to the needs of people with limited mobility. The birdwatching hut is accessible at ground level via a ramp.
There are no seating areas during the excursion.
