"Thanks to Weltklassik am Klavier, which enables us to pass on the music and share it with the audience." Dr. Anna Zassimova
Dr. Anna Zassimova can look back on performances at international festivals such as the Ruhr Piano Festival and concert series such as the Hamburg Elbphilharmonie. Radio stations such as DLF, Radio France, BBC and SRF have worked with her. The happy meeting of intellect and true musical naturalness, creative intensity and timeless poetry are defining characteristics of her art. The rediscovery of the Russian-French composer Georges Catoire is closely linked to her name. Her solo album "Sonata Reminiscenza" (Hänssler Classic) was nominated for the Opus Klassik Prize. Zassimova, who now teaches at the University of Music in Karlsruhe, is also regarded as an outstanding Chopin interpreter. In 2023, the Swedish label BIS released her third Chopin album.
"World Classics at the Piano - Rysum Special! Partita of the Baroque - Kreisleriana of the Romantic era!"
"I play my Kreisleriana sometimes! There is quite a bit of wild love in some of the movements, and your life and mine and some of your looks", Robert Schumann wrote to Clara in 1838. At the age of 28, he had reached the peak of his first piano phase. "Kreisleriana", a magnificent encyclopaedia of Schumann's style, of an extremely high technical level - is an iconic work of musical romanticism. Bach's six piano partitas are probably the most famous and most demanding collection of suites in music history. Bach was aware of the weight of his cycle, as he initially had the multi-movement partitas, composed in Leipzig between 1726 and 1730, published in individual volumes, crowned in 1731 by an anthology with the proud opus number "1".
