On the first weekend of Advent, Bad Essen's town center is festively illuminated: the new Christmas lights shine along the streets and the Christmas gnomes are finally allowed to move back into the historic church square in Bad Essen. Everyone involved is delighted. More than 30 exhibitors offer everything to delight the heart and senses! With its very special flair, the Christmas market invites you to stroll and linger.
Many exhibitors - old acquaintances as well as new vendors - have once again prepared for the Christmas market with commitment and joy and present their range of goods. Enjoy your stroll through the church square and discover what delights your heart and senses in every hut. Small and fine, original and creative gift ideas. There are delicious cookies, roasted almonds, various mulled wines and other delicacies. Find lovingly homemade items, decorations for the Advent and Christmas season, woodwork and beautiful items made from fabric and ceramics. The children's carousel turns in the middle of the church square and the mulled wine garden invites you to linger in front of the stage. A varied musical program with many local artists will be performed on the stage on both days of the market. And the "Living Jukebox" will also fulfill your music wishes again this year.
On Saturday at 3.00 pm, the market will open with the traditional stollen cutting by the local council and on Sunday we expect Santa Claus from 4.00 pm.
