Weihnachtsschicht im Oberharzer Bergwerksmuseum

The Upper Harz Mining Museum, together with the Clausthal-Zellerfeld Tourist Information Office, invites you to a very special "Christmas shift" at the museum in Clausthal-Zellerfeld on the first weekend of Advent - November 30 and December 1: on Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 6 pm, visitors can experience the buildings above and below ground as well as mining in a Christmas atmosphere.

On the lovingly decorated mining museum grounds, visitors and locals will have the opportunity to enjoy mulled wine, punch, lumumba and sweet treats as well as hearty food and browse through the (arts and) crafts on offer. Surrounded by historical machinery and the impressive evidence of mining history, the stalls shine in warm light and invite you to linger . Many local artists and stalls will be present and offer the opportunity to buy Christmas presents both above and below ground while exploring the facilities.

One of the highlights, in addition to the musical program, will be the guided tours of the illuminated above-ground and underground show mine every hour from 11:00 a.m. on both days. Here, over 200 Christmas lights provide a completely new view of the mining history of the Upper Harz.
 
The combination of industrial charm and Christmassy coziness makes this market an unforgettable experience for the whole family.
