On Monday, November 24, 2025, the Christmas market starts in Jever on the Old Market and is open until December 30, 2025. The small but beautiful market is located right in the city center. The smell of roasted almonds, fresh Berliners and hot mulled wine leads visitors directly to the Old Market. Every year, the magical stalls under 20,000 LED lights with a historic children's carousel and small half-timbered houses are both a popular photo motif and a cozy and atmospheric destination for the whole family, without the usual Christmas crowds. Jever's business people invite you to "Evening shopping fun". Many stores in the city center are open until 9 p.m. and you can shop and stroll around at your leisure. A detour to the Christmas market is a great idea.
Just before Christmas, on the 4th Sunday in Advent (21.12.25), the Jevers business people open their doors once again from 12:00 to 18:00 for Advent shopping.
After Christmas, the shops in Jever's city center will open once again on a Sunday (December 28, 2025) from 12:00 to 18:00 and invite you to go on a leisurely shopping spree.
Become part of the Christmas market: Jever Christmas market invites you: "Wechselhütte" for creative minds
This year, there is a very special opportunity for clubs, initiatives, organizations, artisans and committed private individuals to present themselves and their products for a short period of time: the Wechselhütte at the Christmas market in Jever.
The city of Jever provides a Christmas market hut that can be occupied on a daily basis. Whether you want to present your own association, sell handmade products such as knitwear, pottery or packaged treats - almost anything is possible. Only the serving of (alcoholic) beverages and the sale of food for direct consumption on site are excluded.
The aim is to create a diverse and lively offering - and also to give vendors a chance to present themselves who do not have the opportunity to participate for the entire duration of the Christmas market.
Whether it's a creative hands-on activity, a presentation of club life or the sale of homemade products - the hut is an open space for everyone who wants to help shape the Christmas market.

Exhibitors are responsible for their own decorations, furnishings and cleanliness. A Christmas design is expressly desired.
Interested parties can apply to the city of Jever until November 07, 2025. Contact details, the desired period and a brief description of the planned offer (preferably with a photo) are required. Stands will be allocated according to the variety and attractiveness of the offer as well as regional relevance. If there are several applications for the same date, the decision will be made by lot.

A gift tip at the end: The "Wünsch-Dir-was-Gutschein" from Jever Aktiv e. V., which can be redeemed in fifty stores in Jever and can be issued from a value of ten euros, is in great demand every year at Christmas time. It is available at the Volksbank in Jever as well as at the branch in Hohenkirchen, Sporthaus Jever, Spielwelt Jever, LZO in Jever and at the OLB in Jever.
