The traditional "Lüttje Greetmer Wiehnachtsmarkt" will take place on the market square in Greetsiel on the 2nd and 3rd weekend of Advent (07. + 08.12. / 14. + 15.12.2024).
The Lüttje Greetmer Wiehnachtsmarkt has been taking place on the Greetsiel market square since 1994 and is organized by the Greetsiel clubs and organizations in cooperation with the Greetsiel interest group for the promotion of Greetsiel. There will be a pre-Christmas atmosphere in the small village, small fairy lights will be strung through the trees, the large Christmas tree at the Alter Siel and the Christmas trees at the entrances to the village will be decorated with red ribbons, and small Christmas trees will be placed in front of the stores in the village center. In several wooden stalls on the market square at the Alter Siel, visitors are offered a wide variety of handicrafts and gift ideas in addition to mulled wine, punch, doughnuts, bratwurst and smoked fish from 13:00 to 19:00.
