Wandelmarkt (Wandelwoche Lüneburg 2026)

The Wandelmarkt kicks off Wandelwoche and brings together dedicated initiatives, organizations, and projects from Lüneburg at the Museum Lüneburg.
In a relaxed atmosphere, visitors can get to know the people behind the projects, learn about their work, ask questions, and strike up conversations with one another. This fosters new connections and sparks a wide range of ideas related to sustainability, democracy, climate protection, social justice, and social change.
As a lively kickoff to Transformation Week, the Transformation Market offers an inspiring glimpse into the diverse local engagement and whets the appetite to discover the numerous events and hands-on activities planned for the coming days.

The Lüneburg Transformation Week will take place from October 30 to November 8, 2026.
A good life for everyone is possible—if we engage in dialogue, share ideas, learn about different perspectives, and work together to find solutions.
 
Through >50 events organized by >60 Lüneburg-based initiatives, the Transformation Week showcases what’s already happening in Lüneburg, encourages people to get involved, and creates spaces for encounters, exchange, and collaborative experimentation. It addresses the big questions of our time: climate and sustainability, democracy, housing and mobility, social justice and diversity—and always includes how we talk about and debate these issues with one another.
 
How can we engage with one another respectfully and as equals? How do we keep the conversation going, even when we disagree? And how can we work together to shape a future worth living?
 
Transition Week invites you to try exactly that.
