Torfrock - 35. Bagaluten-Wiehnacht 2026 - die 730 Tage Jubiläumssause
49 Years of TORFROCK – The Anniversary Starts Now! 730 Days of Celebrations, Pudding in Waves, and Heading Toward 50.
When you ask TORFROCK why an anniversary should be limited to just one year, the answer comes cheerfully and logically from Torfmoorholm: Why keep it short when you can make it a grand celebration? In 2026, TORFROCK will be in the 49th year of their band’s history—and this is exactly where the big warm-up begins for what’s coming in 2027: namely, 50 years of TORFROCK!!!
Instead of quietly and secretly waiting for the milestone birthday, the Torfmoorholm “everyday rockers” are charging ahead with full force: 730 days of celebrating to the fullest.
Warming up in their 49th year, going full throttle in their 50th—it’s that simple.
The fact that TORFROCK, after nearly five decades, still takes the stage and tours festivals with unbroken enthusiasm, North German stubbornness, and plenty of humor is anything but a given. Consistency, authenticity, and a loyal fan base have made the band what it is today: a true piece of Northern Germany.
In 2026, in addition to numerous solo concerts and festival appearances, the calendar will once again feature some major events—most notably the 35th Bagaluten-Wiehnacht, which has long since achieved cult status. At the same time, musically, the band is already setting its sights on the big stage anniversary in 2027: with 49 years of live experience, fresh, powerful arrangements of their unmistakable classics, and that signature Torfrock humor that continues to reliably make musical waves.
Today’s lineup bridges the past and the present: Klaus Büchner as the defining voice and co-founder, alongside Volker Schmidt, Stefan Lehmann, and Sven Berger. Together, they give the time-tested Torfrock sound a contemporary, groovy punch without losing sight of their roots. The fictional microcosm centered around Torfmoorholm, Haithabu, Vikings, the Wernersens, and all those endearingly boisterous characters lives on—on stage, in the audience, and in every line of Gebrauchsrock. Timeless lyrics, peaty rock-folk-blues-punk-boogie, and North German laid-back charm ensure that TORFROCK concerts will remain one thing above all else even in 2026: a big, peaceful, and joyful Torfrock party for all generations. 49 years are just the beginning. The anniversary is getting underway. Setting course for 50.
