A burning crater in the desert, a panic attack in a hot air balloon, and the attempt to bribe police officers with gummy bears – anyone who travels by motorcycle from Germany to Mongolia constantly navigates between national borders, mental barriers, and limitless freedom.
On their way eastward, Thomas and his buddy Steve experience the overwhelming hospitality in Iran. They dive into fairy-tale cities along the ancient Silk Road, cross the second highest mountain pass in the world, struggle with breakdowns and falls, and drink fermented mare's milk with locals. However, just when Mongolia seems to be within reach, the journey takes an unexpected turn.

With entertaining storytelling and impressive images, Thomas Finke tells his personal story – lively, authentic, and emotional. After 7 years in automotive design at VW, Thomas Finke gave up his corporate career in 2016 in favor of his travel passion. Today he is a book author, works as a tour guide, speaker, and event moderator (www.thomas-finke.eu). Since 2025, he has been regularly touring the German-speaking region with his live show “Crossing Borders,” taking his guests on an interactive and humorous journey through his motorcycle adventures in Mongolia. He won the Travel Slam Cologne in 2022 and 2024 and was a finalist in Germany’s Next Speaker Star in 2023.

Before the show, we want to create space for encounters and invite all bikers, travel enthusiasts, adventurers, and friends of good humor to a relaxed get-together on our terrace starting at 4:30 p.m. In a cozy atmosphere, there will be opportunities to arrive, get to know each other, and exchange thoughts. And what could be better than a cold beer with a serving of fries while looking out at the Weser?
