Franziska Linkerhand is a young architect dreaming of socialism in the 1960s in East Germany, hoping to build houses that give people a sense of freedom and dignity. However, she experiences her dreams colliding with economic constraints and shattering against the walls of bureaucracy. At the same time, she dreams of love, but here too she is disappointed.
Despite all setbacks, she does not give up on dreaming.

A novel about social utopias and building dreams, published posthumously in East Berlin in 1974 and released in its original version only after the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1988, faithfully brought to the stage by the Poetenpack Theater.

· Drama based on the novel by Brigitte Reimann
