The town of Tarmstedt is located in the agricultural region between Bremen and Hamburg. Once a year, this small town with a population of about 3,900 becomes the center of northern German agriculture for four days: Since 1949, the Tarmstedt Exhibition has opened its doors every year on the second weekend in July, from Friday through Monday.
Around 100,000 visitors then flock to the approximately 18-hectare exhibition grounds on the outskirts of town, where some 750 exhibitors showcase the latest innovations in agricultural technology, farming, rural living, gardening, leisure, and renewable energy.
