The Wadden Sea Visitor Center invites you to a special multi-hour cruise on the Jade as part of the events during the 9th Wilhelmshaven Harbour Porpoise Days. The former sailor training boat "Nordwind" of the German Navy, which was completely restored between fall 2021 and spring 2023, will take you on a porpoise-watching tour in the Jade Bay.
The trip will be accompanied by an expert from the Wadden Sea Visitor Center, who will tell exciting and interesting facts about the only whale species living in the North Sea. Participants on this sailing tour can enjoy the Wadden Sea World Heritage Site and porpoise watching in a special atmosphere.
Naturally, whale sightings cannot be guaranteed, but the events are planned to maximize the chance of this happening. In recent years, the animals have been seen quite reliably in the Jade Bay.
