When thousands of lights shine in the center of Seesen and the smell of roasted almonds and mulled wine fills the air, then it's time again: The Christmas season on Jacobsonplatz in Seesen has begun!
In addition to the popular Twinkly light illumination at Jacobson House, this year's "Seesener Lichterzauber" will once again delight visitors with an ice rink for young and old! From December 5, 2025 to January 4, 2026, visitors can skate or try their hand at curling on around 300 m² of ice. An on-site skate rental service will provide the right equipment.
Culinary delights are provided by the Christmas market huts, where sweet and savory delicacies await - vegan, vegetarian or with meat, depending on taste. The cozy alpine hut invites you to socialize and can be booked by arrangement for corporate and private events. The new umbrella bar offers a daily après-ski feeling.
The supporting program also has a lot to offer: The professional ice hockey team Harzer Falken e.V. will be back, figure skaters from Hanover will show off their skills, and DJs AirBeck and Lars Karow will bring the atmosphere on and off the ice rink with their beats.
A special highlight: On December 6, Santa Claus will come in a sparkling fire engine and make the eyes of guests young and old light up. In addition, the "Seesen Steinway Story" is presented daily at 5 pm and 7 pm as an impressive light show at the Jacobson House - made possible by the generous support of Harz Energie and Volksbank eG in Seesen.
