Seepferdchenkurs im THALASSO Meeres Spa
In this "Seahorse" swimming course at the THALASSO Marine Spa, children ages 5 and up learn the basics of swimming through a playful and structured program. The course takes place Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. and consists of a total of 10 training sessions.
The goal is to safely introduce children to swimming on their own and to optimally prepare them for the requirements of the Seepferdchen certification.
The course content includes getting accustomed to the water and water safety, learning proper breathing techniques, floating and gliding, jumping exercises, and the first swimming strokes in the prone and supine positions. In addition, important swimming safety rules are taught. Step by step, the necessary confidence in the water is built up and endurance is developed until the children can safely swim a distance of 25 meters. They also practice retrieving an object from shoulder-deep water.
Children who are already familiar with water will find it easier to get started in the course. Enjoying movement in the water, a willingness to actively participate, and the confidence to attend class without an accompanying adult all contribute to learning success.
The course offers a child-friendly, motivating learning environment and guides participants step by step toward earning their first swimming badge.
Note: Registration is required. Tickets are available at HERE, on-site, or at the tourist information offices in Hooksiel and Horumersiel.
Please arrive 15 minutes before the class starts so the children have enough time to change and everyone can be at the poolside on time. Doors open at 8:45 a.m.
