What a start it was in 2016! "Die immer lacht" made it into the top 5 of all German and Austrian charts at top speed and fed every playlist on all available streaming portals for months. 1.2 million records sold and 200 million YOUTUBE clicks gave the remixed version of the catchy sing-along discofox number a release status that you have to reach first. And yet all the "prophets of doom" were wrong: Kerstin Ott did not disappear again as a "one-hit wonder", but continued to write new songs, songs with little stories from reality, credible, special and danceable. She has given her fans four albums to date and all of them, without exception, have reached the Top 5 in Germany. It is now impossible to imagine any major pop production without her and she has delivered duets with major stars of the scene that are impossible to ignore (Howard Carpendale, Helene Fischer). No Schlager party is complete without "Wegen Dir", "Regenbogenfarben" or "Nachts Sind Alle Katzen Grau".
