Action day at and in the Tuchmacher Museum Bramsche
For over 400 years, Bramsch clothmakers processed sheep's wool - to this day, wool blankets are still produced on historical machines in the Tuchmacher Museum. But sheep are much more than just suppliers of wool. Sheep have been one of the most important farm animals for centuries. They provide wool, hides, leather, meat and milk and are used for landscape conservation.

In cooperation with the shepherds Norbert Stehmann and Jörg Langen, the Kunterbunte Wollspinnerey and other actors, everything revolves around sheep on this day: in addition to a sheep breed show, the shearing of an entire flock and the work of herding dogs, old craft techniques such as spinning, weaving and dyeing wool are demonstrated and hands-on activities are offered for children.

This year, the Sheep Day market will also be expanded to include the organic regional market of the Hasetal eco-model region. Various exhibitors from the eco-model region will be on hand to offer regional organic products. There are all kinds of delicacies to discover, from vegetables to bread and cakes to cheese.
