In older buildings—especially those subject to historic preservation regulations—exterior insulation is often not permitted or practical. In such cases, there are alternative solutions involving interior insulation. In addition, various heating systems that promote energy-efficient heating have been developed over the past few years.
In the fall of 2026, the cities of the Fachwerk5Eck region will host expert presentations as part of the “Renovation of Old Buildings” series. Between November 9 and December 9, a total of five lectures on renovation topics will take place in Duderstadt, Hann. Münden, Northeim, Einbeck, and Osterode.
