Quatsch Comedy Club

"Don't talk nonsense …" they said.  That was in 1992, and Thomas Hermanns not only laid the foundation for stand-up comedy in Germany but also opened his first Quatsch Comedy Club in Hamburg. Ten years later, when the second club opened in Berlin, it became clear that this could turn into something big. The “Kleine Revue im Friedrichstadtpalast” became a Quatsch Comedy Club and quickly established itself as the home of German stand-up comedy.
As the “father of German stand-up comedy,” Thomas Hermanns laid the foundation for many great comedians. Whether it’s Carolin Kebekus, Ilka Bessin, or Lisa Feller; Bülent Ceylan, Johann König, or Felix Lohbrecht—they all have one thing in common: they’ve either performed on stage at the Quatsch Comedy Club or appeared on our TV shows.
