Philharmonia Frankfurt & Simone Kermes

Operetta
Conductor: Juri Gilbo | 56th Harzburg Music Days - International Festival | Opening Concert | Magic of Baroque
An evening full of passion! The great themes of human history - love, loss, power and magic - resound in an impressive concert format. At the opening concert of the Harzburger Musiktage, the fascination of old legends is reinterpreted - a spectacle for the ears and heart.

The celebrated coloratura soprano Simone Kermes lends the arias a special expressiveness and emotional intensity that captivates the audience. She will be accompanied on this evening by the Philharmonia Frankfurt under the direction of its chief conductor Juri Gilbo.

The voices of the nymphs, gods and heroes unfold their magic - majestically and passionately composed by Antonio Vivaldi, George Frideric Handel, Henry Purcell, Leonardo Vinci, Claudio Monteverdi and Riccardo Broschi.

The other five concerts of the 56th Harzburg Music Days - International Festival can be experienced in the stylish ambience of the Knights' Hall in Bündheim Castle in Bad Harzburg.
