At 6 p.m., the Päda Big Band gives its big spring concert in the Kursaal Bad Sachsa. Big band music has a long tradition in Bad Sachsa. The Päda Big Band, founded by music teacher Hans Christian Metzger, gave its first concert of this kind on January 21, 2009. Since then, big band jazz has made a name for itself here and has a loyal audience that fills the Kursaal time and time again!
As in all previous years, the concert is also the result of the rehearsal trip to Oderbrück, which takes place a week beforehand. Here, professional jazz musicians teach the students in individual lessons, vocal groups and in "tutti". The focus on March 6 will be on big band arrangements of well-known songs and film titles: "Billie Jean" by Michael Jackson, "Back to Black" by Amy Winehouse, the theme tunes from "The Simpsons" and "The Incredibles", as well as well-known jazz classics such as "Pennsylvania 6 5000" and "Take Five".
A warm invitation to all big band music enthusiasts! Admission is free.
