her double album "HAUS", released in April 2024, it has been impossible to imagine the cultural landscape
without her: Katharina Kollmann aka Nichtseattle. Hardly anyone manages to weave the
political and private into their own songs as movingly as she does.
In her life, she has been a singer-songwriter, choirmaster and founder of a collective
living project. Her music is folk and indie rock. She processes the work of East German
songwriters such as Gerhard Schöne just as naturally as the US
American sound of the Pixies.
There are no temptations in Nichtseattle's music, no small talk, no fake eroticism
and pseudo-sentimentality, no tinsel and no frippery. "(...) But if you can deal with the
