Morgenland Festival Osnabrück
From 29.05. to 06.06.2026, the Morgenland Festival Osnabrück, under the new artistic direction of Iranian clarinettist Shabnam Parvaresh, will focus on the theme of "Voices of the Diaspora". After two decades of intercultural pioneering work, this edition marks a significant generational change and focuses on artists whose works tell of the experience of migration and cultural transformation.
The program brings together international greats such as Ganavya, who opens the festival with a combination of South Indian classical music and jazz, as well as trumpeter Yazz Ahmed and the duo Kit Downes & Shiva Feshareki. The musical spectrum is complemented by interdisciplinary collaborations: The exhibition "Topographies of Resistance" in the art space hase29 and discourse formats with the Literaturbüro Niedersachsen open up the festival as a social laboratory for the future.
