Moorführung am Mittwoch

The Mecklenbruch raised bog, with its unique flora and fauna, is one of Lower Saxony’s most valuable raised bogs. It covers 63 hectares and has been a protected nature reserve since 1939. It serves as a habitat for species that thrive in nutrient-poor environments and also acts as a massive CO2 sink. The tour takes place on flat terrain and lasts about two hours. Sturdy shoes and weather-appropriate clothing are recommended.
