Guided historical tour
A hike starts from Brunshausen Monastery Hill, the cradle of the Ottonians, through the Heberbörde towards Clus.
From the top of the hill, you have a wonderful view of the plain and can already see your destination in the distance, the tower of the Cluser monastery church.
The monastery was built here in the 12th century on an important military and trade route - Freden/Leine/Winzenburg. Abbot Johann Dederoth carried out a reform that led to the upswing of the monastery. Insights into the eventful history of the monastery and the estate, including a tour of the monastery church, are provided. The way back leads along the Clusberg, a short stop at the memorial cross is planned.

Once back in Brunshausen, you can end the day in one of the two cafés with a cup of coffee and delicious cake.

Duration approx. 2.5 hours, circular route approx. 3 km, easy to walk, no differences in altitude
