Mit dem Schiff zum Vogelkiek im Nationalpark Wattenmeer ab Bensersiel
Category: Boat Excursion
For: Families and birdwatchers
In collaboration with Schiffahrt Langeoog, we’re offering a boat tour to the Bensersiel, Langeoog, and Baltrum mudflats during the Migratory Bird Days. Many migratory birds make a stopover in the Wadden Sea along the East Atlantic flyway to refuel here in the fall before continuing their flight south. As the tide goes out, we can watch from the boat as the various migratory birds navigate the Wadden Sea. We’ll answer questions about how and what the various bird species feed on in the mudflats and why the Wadden Sea is so important to birdlife. From the boat, we’ll observe migratory birds up close as they gather in large flocks on the mudflats. Our National Park bird guide will lead this tour.
