Maschseefest Hannover

Experience maritime charm at Germany’s largest lake festival! From July 22 to August 9, 2026, the 38th Maschseefest in Hanover invites you to a culinary journey around the world right on the shores of Lake Maschsee. Over the course of 19 days, visitors can look forward to more than 200 performances and a diverse array of culinary offerings.

The Maschseefest is a paradise for foodies, featuring international cuisine spread across approximately 20,000 square meters. From Middle Eastern to Mexican, Asian, Scandinavian, and Hanseatic—there’s something here for every taste. The international travel portal “Big 7 Travel” has ranked the 2022 Maschseefest 9th among the best summer festivals for food lovers. More than 4,000 seats are available, and many restaurants offer exclusive events during the 19 days of the festival, such as winemaker evenings, tastings, Sunday brunches, and special themed evenings.

Among the classics and crowd favorites is the Charity Duck Race, which takes place on the last weekend of the festival and sees ducks swarming across the Maschsee.
