Kranichfest in den Moorwelten
The Crane Festival marks the start of crane season and combines information about cranes and bogs with excursions, hands-on activities, and an autumn-themed program of events. The festival is organized by the Förderverein Europäisches Fachzentrum Moor und Klima e.V., which invites visitors to enjoy a varied autumn day in the world of the moors.
Visitors can look forward to a diverse program centered on cranes and the unique landscape of the Diepholz Moor Lowlands.
Lectures and excursions offer fascinating insights into the world of cranes and the Diepholz Moor Lowlands. At information booths, organizations involved in nature and moor conservation will introduce themselves and invite visitors to engage in conversation and explore. In addition, regional exhibitors will showcase selected products, arts and crafts, and regional specialties. Creative hands-on activities and interactive experiences invite visitors of all ages to get involved and learn about cranes and the moor from a variety of perspectives.
There’s also plenty to discover on the culinary front: Various vendors will offer autumnal dishes, beverages, coffee, and cake throughout the day.
The Crane Festival thus offers a diverse program for crane enthusiasts and nature lovers, as well as for families and anyone who’d like to spend a special fall day in the world of the moors.
Admission is free. Participation fees may apply for individual excursions and activities.
