You can take advantage of this unique opportunity in Germany to visit one of the most modern steelworks in Europe and look over the shoulders of the steel casters. Public tours are available throughout the year, each lasting 3 to 3.5 hours.
On selected dates (Mondays to Fridays only!), Salzgitter AG Stahl und Technologie shows its visitors the process of steel production, from the production of pig iron in the blast furnace to the manufacture of semi-finished and finished products in the rolling mills.

Anreise per PKW: Von Norden her über die A39 bis Abfahrt Salzgitter-Thiede und dann die Eisenhüttenstraße entlang, bis rechterhand das Besucherzentrum auftaucht. Von Süden her über die A39 bis Abfahrt Salzgitter-Watenstedt und dann über die Industriestraße Mitte bis zur Kreuzung bei MAN. Hier links in die Eisenhüttenstraße einbiegen und weiterfahren bis linkerhand das Besucherzentrum auftaucht. Ein kostenfreier Großparkplatz ist direkt am Besucherzentrum eingerichtet.
