"Sondaschule" Is Back: First Bands Announced for the 20th Hütte Rockt Festival

Georgsmarienhütte, September 3, 2026 – The Hütte Rockt music festival is gearing up for its anniversary year: The 20th edition will kick off on August 5, 2027, in Georgsmarienhütte near Osnabrück. Well in advance, the organizing team is now revealing the first names of the bands and artists who will take the stage there.

With ska-punk from “Sondaschule,” metalcore from “Callejon,” and pop from “Esther Graf”—along with samurai pizza cats and medieval rap—the festival is once again clearly heading toward the musical diversity and festival culture that visitors have come to know and love over the past two decades.

The first announced headliner sets the bar: “Sondaschule” will grace the Hütte Rockt Festival for the fourth time. Since their first appearance in 2010, the band has enjoyed a meteoric rise. With their consistently German-language, danceable ska-punk, they now fill concert halls and open-air venues throughout Germany.

“Having Sondaschule as one of our headliners for the anniversary—that’s what we wanted, and it fits perfectly with the history of the Hütte Rockt Festival,” said festival director Marius Kleinheider. “In 2010, they played here in the afternoon; back then, they were still relatively unknown. Then again in 2017. And last but not least, they played here under special circumstances during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, when we were one of the very few festivals in Germany allowed to open at all.”

“Esther Graf” brings a whole new musical flavor to Georgsmarienhütte: The singer-songwriter is a rising star on the German-language pop scene; she made a name for herself through collaborations with artists like “Alligatoah” and “SDP” and achieved platinum status with her single “Mama hat gesagt.”

Harder sounds, on the other hand, come from the metalcore bands “Callejon”—which has been redefining the boundaries of its genre for 20 years—and “Samurai Pizza Cats,” whose sound incorporates even dance and J-pop elements.

Rounding out the first wave of bands are indie artist “Alenna Rose,” the “Hütte-Rockt” veterans “Womuka,” the pop-punk group “Goose Park,” the metalcore band “In Shattered Memories,” and the rock choir “Tiny Wolves.” And then there’s “Mittel Alta,” a medieval gangster rap duo that has been adding another dimension to the German festival scene for the past two years with their “music for the rabble.”

The Hütte Rockt Festival 2027 will take place from August 5–7, 2027, in Georgsmarienhütte near Osnabrück. The most recent—and 19th—edition of the event concluded successfully last month with a record-breaking 9,000 attendees over three days. Even during the weekend, 1,000 early-bird tickets for next year were already sold out. The entire event has been organized since 2006 by the nonprofit association “Die Hütte rockt e.V.”: More than 400 registered members and many other helping hands transform a local area into a fully equipped festival grounds every year.
