Führung: Wo steht der Wohnraum in Lüneburg leer? (Wandelwoche Lüneburg 2026)
Lüneburg faces a severe housing shortage—yet at the same time, there are many long-term vacant properties and numerous vacation rentals (presumably several hundred of which are illegal). The WohnWende initiative highlights this issue through a guided city tour, explains the problems, and invites participants to discuss potential solutions.

The Lüneburg Transformation Week will take place from October 30 to November 8, 2026.
A good life for everyone is possible—if we engage in dialogue, share ideas, learn about different perspectives, and work together to find solutions.
Through >50 events organized by >60 Lüneburg-based initiatives, the Lüneburg Transformation Week showcases what’s already happening in Lüneburg, encourages people to get involved, and creates spaces for connection, exchange, and collaborative experimentation. The focus is on the big questions of our time: climate and sustainability, democracy, housing and mobility, social justice and diversity—and always on how we talk about and debate these issues with one another.
How can we engage with one another respectfully and as equals? How do we keep the conversation going, even when we disagree? And how can we work together to shape a future worth living?
Transition Week invites you to try exactly that.
A festival of change under the motto
“A good life for everyone is possible.”
