Do you actually know what a "Katzenstein" is, and what it has to do with the crude oil from Wietze?

During the summer months, our mill guides will take you on a tour of the post mill on Sundays and share interesting facts and little anecdotes from the millers’ lives of yesteryear.
Just stop by during opening hours and explore the inside of our beautiful mill. No registration is required.
The post mill is one of the oldest historic monuments in the community. As an inscription on the main beam attests, it was built in 1732. Its site, where mills had likely been in operation since the 15th century, was originally located far outside the village. Wind rights stipulated that the miller was not required to tolerate any trees or houses near the mill that might block the wind.

Admission is free for children, and adults pay €2 to support the exhibition.
