Drachenfest - wir machen den Himmel bunt!
Under the motto "we make the sky colorful", the impressive kite festival takes place on Krautsand - directly on the Elbe beach. Kite flyers from all over Germany throw a colorful spectacle into the sky with their colorful flying objects. One highlight is the night flying show on Saturday.

- To reach the Elbe island of Krautsand by car, take the B 73 from Hamburg. In Stade, take the exit for the L 111 (Obstmarschenweg) toward Drochtersen, and from there, follow the signs to the island.
There are several paid parking lots on site—including along Elbstraße and behind the Elbe dike.
